France, Somme, Abbeville, Collégiale Saint-Vulfran d'Abbeville - Heritage Days. The collegiate church was built at the end of the 15th century (1488), at the bottom of a marshy valley near a branch of the Somme. The nave was built between 1488 and 1539, and the choir between 1661 and 16631. It has a particular orientation: the façade does not open to the west, but to the north. An era of prosperity made it possible to create the church's magnificent flamboyant Gothic décor.
